On July 8th, 2023, our students were invited to participate in the Program Konservasi Pantai Teluk Likas & Fit Integriti organised by the Sabah Youth Council (MBS). The programme was in conjunction with the Integrity Week of the Ministry of Works Sabah. A diverse group of 35 volunteers, known as PERMUDA attended the programme to collectively liven up the event and engage in voluntary activities.
The volunteers represented various educational institutions, including Cyberjaya College Kota Kinabalu, North Borneo University College, and Cosmopoint College, showcasing the widespread engagement of young individuals in this initiative. PERMUDA is an initiative by the MBS that focuses on empowering youth through community-based projects, economic initiatives, and other programmes that aim to fulfill the aspirations of the youth in Sabah. Among the activities that took place were aerobic exercises, beach cleaning, and exhibitions.
Overall, the Program Konservasi Pantai Teluk Likas & Fit Integriti was a collaborative effort that promoted environmental conservation, integrity, and youth empowerment. It serves as a commendable example of how different organizations and individuals can come together to make a positive impact on their community.
