Programme Introduction

Physiotherapy is a medical branch for the care or rehabilitation of the patient’s physical function. The main aim of this treatment is to help patients recover and to ensure that their physical function is at optimum level and functioning well.

Physiotherapist rehab performs rehabilitation work by exercising, electric light, cold water treatment, massage and electrotherapy. A Physiotherapist’s role includes planning the treatment programmes for patients, helping doctors determine the type of disease by testing through electric means, monitoring patient’s report and progress, informing the medical officer of the suitability of a treatment scheme against a person, make equipment supply orders and more.

This programme will enable students to understand the aspects of healthcare related to the assessment, handling and rehabilitation of physical functions as well as movement of the human body

Entry Requirement

  • Pass in SPM
  • FIVE (5) Credits in the following subjects:
  • Mathematics;
  • ONE (1) Science subject (Biology/Physics/Chemistry/General Science/ Applied Science); AND
  • THREE (3) other subjects including Bahasa Melayu and/or English if Credit
  • Pass in Bahasa Melayu AND English
