About this Programme

The Diploma in early Childhood Education (DECE) is a credential that enables individuals to work as a preschool educators for children under 7 years of age.

The programme has been tailored to enable individual to have the necessary hands-on skills and knowledge on young learners so they may be able to become competent educators. Candidates will be prepared and equipped with high quality practices, pedagogical leadership, designing and implementing curriculum, and care services.

Entry Requirement

  • Malaysian
  • Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM)
    Possess Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) With A Minimum of Three Credits in Any Subject or Its Equivalent;
    - A Pass in Sijil Tinggi Pelajaran Malaysia (STPM) With A Minimum of Grade C (Grade Point (GP) 2.0) In Any Subject or its Equivalent;
    - A Pass in Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) With A Minimum Grade of Maqbul;
    - A Pass in Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia (SKM), Level Three in Early Child Care/ Preschool and A Pass in SPM with A Minimum of One Credit In Any Subject;
    - A Certificate (Level 3, Malaysian Qualifications Framework (MQF)) In Early Childhood Education (ECE) Or its Equivalent Or
    - A Certificate (Level MQF) In Any Field or Its Equivalent And

    *If a student does not meet the requirement, HEPs must offer English proficiency courses to ensure that the proficiency is sufficient to meet the needs of the programme
