On 14th July 2023, the Sabah Wetlands Conservation Society (SWCS) organized the Tide to Thrive: Mangrove Clean-up programme, in line with the World Environment Day theme of "Beat Plastic Pollution." Fifteen of our enthusiastic students were invited to participate in this impactful event.
The programme aimed to raise awareness among various stakeholders about the significance of environmental protection and sustainable practices. It served as a catalyst to mobilise action, encouraging the general public to take a hands-on approach in safeguarding and restoring the environment. Furthermore, the event promoted partnerships that involved sharing knowledge, resources, and best practices to address pressing environmental challenges.
Through their involvement, the Tide to Thrive programme successfully shed light on the importance of protecting our environment and the role each individual can play in combating plastic pollution. It served as a powerful reminder that by working together, we can make a lasting impact and preserve our natural heritage for future generations.
Kudos to the Sabah Wetlands Conservation Society (SWCS) and our Cyberjaya College Kota Kinabalu students for their invaluable contributions to this meaningful initiative. Let's continue to strive for a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable planet, one step at a time. Together, we can #BeatPlasticPollution!
