On the 11th of November 2023, four of our students showcased exceptional skill and sportsmanship at the Varsity Chess Championship organized by the Ministry of Higher Education (KPT) in collaboration with Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS).
The team consisted of talented individuals who competed fiercely in the tournament. Notably, the female players, Nur Jariah Fitri Binti Amaruddin Erang pursuing a Diploma in Healthcare, and Fatin Atiqah, a student of Diploma in Pharmacy, demonstrated outstanding prowess. Nur Jariah Fitri secured an impressive fourth place, showcasing her strategic brilliance and dedication to the game. Following closely, Fatin Atiqah earned a commendable eighth place, proving her mettle in the competitive chess arena.
Despite the male players not securing a spot, their performance was commendable and contributed significantly to the team's overall success. Their dedication and hard work undoubtedly played a crucial role in representing Cyberjaya College Kota Kinabalu with pride.
Congratulations to the entire team for their remarkable achievements at the Varsity Chess Championship 2023. Your efforts and accomplishments have not only brought honor to the college but also inspired fellow students and chess enthusiasts. Well done, team!
